Sir Edward Stewart-Richardson, 15th Baronet Pitfour, joined the 3rd Battalion in 1890 and served in South Africa during the Second Boer War. In 1904 he gained notoriety due to his marriage to Lady Constance MacKenzie, Daughter of the Earl of Cromartie. He was mortally wounded at Zandvoorde during the First Battle of Ypres on 27th October 1914. He died on 28th November 1914, aged 42.
