Algernon Basil Clark commissioned into the 3rd (Special Reserve) Battalion, The Black Watch, on 10th September 1915. He was mentioned in dispatches and awarded the Military Cross. He transferred to the Royal Flying Corps in December 1917 and was killed in aerial combat on 3rd October 1918.
